Doing Weight Watchers on my own the first time helped me to drop 100lbs! This time around, I'm aiming for my goal weight: 175lbs. Wish me luck!

I thought this would be easier...
For those of you watching So You Think You Can Dance, they keep talking about this routine that they have posted for anyone to try... and try I did. So far, it's not going well. Then again, I'm not a dancer (I'm not even remotely in shape) and I've only tried the routine a few times. I'm actually going to keep trying it... it's kinda sad when you realize just how dancing-challenged you really are... ~pout~
Give it a shot - did you find it as challenging as I did???

I'm still hanging around.
Hey all, just a super quick post to say hello to everyone!
Also, thanks so much for all the positive comments about my pictures - I thought those bubble ones I snapped were pretty cool and wanted to share - I'm surprised how well they actually turned out! Thanks Mom for blowing the most perfect bubbles! ~winks~
Not much is new, I'm having a difficult time at work lately - but that's alright, the clock is ticking and soon I will be on my way to GA. I can't wait, I'm hoping to hear from them this coming week to set up my "interview" appointment. Eek.
Weight is okay.. I guess. I haven't been doing very well keeping on track - 209lbs. Meh. I'll take it.
I've still been reading all of your blogs, and commenting if I have something interesting to say, heh. So I'm still around, just having a difficult time blogging for some reason.

MIA
I apologize that I've been MIA lately.
I was away at my Sisters for the weekend, and went so far off track I just didn't feel like writing. There was slushy sugary drinks, restaurant food, chips and burgers, it was delicious! I did have a blast visiting with my Lil' Sis at her lovely home, I'm so proud of her. Also caught up with two good friends of mine, did some shopping, found some deals, chatted lots.
I'm back now, probably, and will try to get caught up with what's going on with everyone. I'm also attempting to get back on track, as of today. Yay me. ~makes a face~
New layout for the Blog, not sure if I love it, or what. So I might end up changing it again.

Photos, That's All
* It's a bright, sunny day out. I went for a small, light walk to enjoy it. Not feeling the best today, totally stayed home from work, finally I'm starting to feel better.
* The Peonies in my neighbours garden finally bloomed, and they are as pretty as I imagined they would be. These flowers always remind me of my Oma.

This isn't what I wanted to see...

So, my friend and I went to the theater yesterday to see Sex and the City 2. My friend had free movie vouchers, for the cinema we normally don't go to, but free is great, and she was wicked and gave me one - free movie!
We arrived too early, and they were still cleaning it from the previous movie, so we had to wait. There were little tables set up off to the side, so we sat there and read the magazines they provide. Eventually, one of the peeps who worked there stopped at our table and was like: "Are you here to see a movie?" (I thought this went without saying... ) So we tell her we're here to see Sex and the City 2. She's like: "Oh, are you guys over 18yrs?" I swear, the look on my face must have been priceless - I just stared at her, and then my friend and replied. "Are you being serious?" She was, she was being serious and was like "I have to make sure..." Really? I'm almost 30. Anyway, it was truly bizarre.
So, we get up and walk over to the theaters, we see the cinema #3 sign, but no real sign for cinema #2, but there is a door. So I'm like - is this our cinema? And my friend is like "looks like it." So in we go, sit down and wait for our movie to start. As we're sitting there, we're noticing some people entering who don't really appear to be 18yrs old.. were they not asked?? Either way, we continue to wait, and wait. And finally the movie starts up and we're having a pretty bad feeling about it.
To cut a very long story short, Katherine Heigl showed up on our screen.... we were in the wrong cinema, watching Killers. Anyway, it was too late by the time we realized, so we decided to just watch the movie - it sucked. Not hardcore or anything, but it's not something I would recommend someone go and see.
... at least we didn't pay for our tickets?

Soooo... yeah.

Bad weekend, bad bad. I lost track of everything I ate, in a blur of snacking and munching. Tomorrow will tell how poorly I actually did. Until Friday, the scale was lookin pretty good for my scheduled upcoming Tuesday weigh-in. However, after the weekend I'm just hoping I don't gain.
I had a good weekend visiting wise though. Hung out with Family, did lots of talking, game playing, and sun soaking. The weather was amazing, and I hung out in those warm rays for most of the time. Tried out my Dad's new four wheeler, a sharp cherry red colour. It was pretty cool, been awhile since I drove one - I can't believe I used to drive them when I was a kid, cause after I got off I couldn't believe how sore my thumb was from pushing the throttle. Is it possible to become weaker than when you were a kid??? Cause I think I'm there.Anyway, I'm attempting to get BACK-back on track today. So far, not too bad. We'll see how I do at the end of the day tomorrow when I post the tracking. Fingers crossed, I keep to together and don't make another run for a McFlurry like last night. Bad.

Yum-O
Usually when I actually get to spend time with my Monkey, I like to try cooking something new for him to try. I love it when he really enjoys my cooking, it's dorky, but I do. My Monkey loves mushrooms, he even refers to himself from time to time as a Hobbit. Why? Because he's a dork. I on the other hand dislike them, and will not eat them. I can stand picking them off though, so usually that's what I do if I make a meal where they are cooked right into the actual food.
Anyway, so this food has NOTHING to do with weight watching, or pnt counting. It's not healthy, it's just Yum-O. The Dish: Fried Mushroom Pork chops & rice. I did have a smaller portion for myself. I had a bowl of rice, with green peas. 1/2 of a pork chop and yeah.. I did have a few crescent rolls.. couldn't help myself, they were yum-O.
Monkey LOVED the dish. He just kept nodding the entire time he was eating it and mumbling the word 'good' from time to time. I'm very happy with the way the food turned out, and will definitely put this dish on mt regular repetoir for Monkey.
We did go Geocaching, so I will try to post some of those pictures later maybe.

Butterflies

Monkey and I did end up spending an hour or so at the Butterfly Conservatory: Wings of Paradise. We took a ton of pictures, so I'll post a few on here for you to take a look at. There was a little group of school kids also visiting the conservatory, they were pretty cute to watch and listen to.
This Link: Butterflies, will take you to the page that shows you all the different species of butterflies that are in the conservatory. We got pictures of a lot of them, but certainly not all. We saw a lot of the Postman ones, but we never saw one actually land in order to snap our shot.

I cooked dinner last night, chicken Parmesan sandwiches with steamed green beans as the side for both Monkey and I. I also had a spinach salad with honey mustard dressing.
It was pretty good, and tonight I'm going to attempt to make a pork chop dish I've never done before. Here's hoping it's good and my Monkey enjoys.Still not even bothering to attempt counting pnts - it's just too much of a hassle with everything else going on.
We went out Geocaching today again, for about 2 - 3 hours. So there was a fair bit of walking involved - but I'm sure not enough to off-set the poor eating.
I'm trying to rein it in this weekend, but it's difficult when the last thing you want to do is cook and clean up dishes.

Busy Days

Haven't had much time to write, but I told you I wouldn't. Things are going great - today Monkey and I are off to meet up with work friends for lunch. We're thinking of going to the Butterfly Conservatory, but haven't decided for sure on that one yet. We did do more Geocaching yesterday, and might again tonight. It looks like it's supposed to rain for the next 3 days, so this might be our last chance.Tuesday, May 18, 2010
Spending Time Together

Sorry for the lack of posting, etc. It'll probably be that way until next Tuesday when Monkey flys home though. (Suckage) Anyway, haven't done too much to write about, more Geocaching, lots of visiting with family - great time. We played games, ate good food, chatted, etc. It was nice to be able to spend some relaxed time with everyone.
My weight is doing poorly, it always does when I'm away from home, or eating out a fair bit. Which also probably wont stop until the visit is over. Anyway, we have plans for MORE visiting with my Aunt and Mom for lunch today - plus we might stop to see some work friends of mine. So I need to get my ass into the shower and get ready.Hope you are all enjoying the better weather that has finally decided to arrive!!

Geocaching
Monkey and I spent most of yesterday shopping and Geocaching - s
o I thought we could share some photos with all of you! We were very successful and found 4/4 caches we hunted for. If you've never heard of Geocaching - you should definitely check it out. It's fun, interesting and you get to exercise with all the hiking/walking, etc. Pretty much, it's treasure hunting with a GPS. The treasure are containers left behind by people, hidden with log books, trinkets, etc. They can be found all over the world, you'd probably be surprised to find them in your own area.

The pictures I've attached are one of myself, standing beside the spot where we found our last cache. One of My Monkey, all smiles. One of the trails we followed - the weather was perfect for a day outside. It was warm and sunny - almost too warm, but the heavy breeze helped up to stay cool. Lastly is a picture of the wildlife we encountered.. it was a little touch and go for awhile, we were afraid we had been spotted.. (yes I am this dorky...) Actually, the dinosaurs are two of the little toys we traded in two of the caches we found. I collect them all and take pictures to keep track of my finds before I trade again.
Eating has been... alright? Not really, I lie. But I will say this much, we went out for lunch and for the first time in an extrememly long time (maybe ever) I didn't finish what I ordered, I only ate about half. We even went for ice-cream last night, and the cone was HUGE - again, didn't finish it. I think that's pretty good. A large part of my problem with eating stems from over eating, and needing that feeling of being overstuffed. I was pretty impressed with myself that I was able to stop, and without much effort.
Anyway, that's all I got. I need to go get ready for the day as Monkey is waiting, and we have plans to visit with my family today. I've been trying to read all your blogs, hopefully I'll find some time to post in the near future!
