I'm up early this morning because lets face it, my body refuses to sleep in on it's own.. and I find it far too much of a hassle to keep forcing myself back to sleep. I was actually wide awake at 6am, but stayed put in those cozy sheets until 7pm, when I lost the battle.
It's fine, because I'm just going to get ready and head out that door to go visit family for the weekend - returning tomorrow. I'm really going to try... and stay... on pnts... really. Grrrr. I dunno why I release all control when it comes to my eating habits while being "Up Home" as we call it. I can literally feel my control slipping away as a make the 2hr drive and by the time I arrive, all I can think about is food. I'm starting to wonder if it's just routine. If when I was a kid, and we'd make that same drive, arrive and there would be all sorts of homemade pies, meals, potato salad... oh.. the potato salad... I think I'm like a dog who hears a bell and then associates that with doing something else - does that even make sense? I'll move on now.
Teale asked me about my move to the US, so I thought I'd write a bit here so everyone would know and I wouldn't have to explain it later. ~winks~ My Monkey lives in GA, and I am a Canadian. We've applied for the Fiance Visa for me to move Down South. We have no idea how long it will take really, since we're completely at the mercy of the government(s). The average they say is a 6 - 9 month process. We're in month 5 right now and still waiting, so we'll see. Anyway, that's the short version of the story.
